Wacky Swimming Olympics

Whacky Swimming An annual, good-natured competition organised by Holborn BSAC: the Wacky Olympics are an evening of fun and slightly silly underwater games.

The 2005 Olympics was held at Ironmonger Baths in EC1, and included teams from Holborn, Hellfins BSAC, YMCA BSAC and Islington BSAC 333.

Events included Underwater Egg and Spoon, Running on the Bottom, Underwater Surfing, Feet First Swim, Three Legged Swim and the main event, Syncronised Swimming where extra marks are awarded for stupid grinning.

The event is held in January/February each year and teams from all dive clubs are welcome to join in the fun. If you would like to enter a team in next year's event then please email us

We are a friendly, mixed branch, with an international outlook. We are run by members, for members, on a not-for-profit basis. We welcome all people with an interest in diving, and divers from all training agencies.

Holborn 0130 is a branch of the British Sub Aqua Club and part of the London Region of BSAC. Our nationally qualified instructors are accredited to provide scuba diving training and to award internationally recognised qualifications. Like all our members, instructors freely donate their time and skills for the benefit of the club.
