The Landrail was a corvette, used as a gunnery target, and sunk while under tow just after the war. Upright, missing the deckhouses, but some teak decking still in place. Slack as for the M2

A week in South-West Ireland, repeating last years successful trip

15th July : Alondre
Very broken up wreck (sunk 1916), with its bows hard up on Kedge Rocks in 6m. Anchor Chain in a gully leads out to broken frames, then a huge cranckshaft and engine casing with valve parts in 16m. Boilers are deeper, and appear to have rolled there from original position forwards, to their current position in 20m. Wreckage ends at about 25m.
